• Safety Spectacle Plan
  1. This is a pre-paid form that entitles the bearer to a free pair of prescription safety spectacles at any UK affiliated optician.

     This booklet fully explains the procedures and answers all common queries. There is a Help Line number should any information or assistance be required.
  2. Directory of UK Affiliated Opticians.

     Accepted at over 1,700 UK affiliated opticians. Optician on-line directory with easy search facility by Town, County, Post Code or Optician Name: Search Directory

     
     The Directory lists all Affiliated Opticians (over 1,700).It also indicates with symbols which of these opticians hold sample frames and / or give discounts on any private purchases.
  3. Service Appraisal Card
     This pre-paid card enables feedback to be carefully monitored.

HOW IT WORKS:

There are 2 different Safety Prescription Spectacle Packs.

• Single Vision (restricted to only permit single vision lenses)
• Multifocal (permits all lens types, including single vision, bifocals and varifocal lenses).

The employer will provide the appropriate Pack to the employee.

• The optician will allow the employee to choose a frame from the selection shown on the Safety Spectacle Plan.
• The safety spectacles will be manufactured and returned to the optician within 10 working days. A case and cleaning cloth are provided.
• Employee returns to Optician for professional fitting.
