"Almost everyone in Europe gets insufficient vitamin D because the sun is not strong enough in winter to make any in the skin. People in Britain and Ireland have particularly low levels of the sunshine vitamin because of our cloudy summer climate. How It Works

Vitamin D3 is a fat soluble vitamin, so we have developed DLux1000 to be oil-based (coconut oil as a medium chain triglyceride), so enhancing it's absorption within the body. The oil is suspended in solution using sunflower lecithin ensuring a perfectly even distribution, from the first spray to the last.

By applying it directly into the mouth, ideally under the tongue, it is absorbed directly through the mucous membrane into the blood system rather than having to be processed by the digestive system and major organs. This ensures no loss during the absorption process. The solution has been microemulsified to ensure the particle size is optimal for absorption in this way.

Because our digestive efficiency is not always assured, particularly when we are unwell or out of sorts, DLux1000 bypasses the digestive system offering the fastest way of absorbing the vitamin.

Developed under the expert guidance of healthcare pioneer Jan de Vries, D Lux 1000 vitamin D spray is of particular importance to children, the elderly, during pregnancy and those with dark skin. Vitamin D spray aids calcium absorption and is fundamental for maintaining healthy teeth and bones.

The formula is micro emulsified for optimal uptake and utilisation and enters directly into the blood supply rather than being processed by the digestive system. Each measured vitamin D spray delivers 1000iu, the optimal single dose recommended by the Food Standards Agency.

What We Recommend: If you worry about poor sunlight exposure and vitamin D deficiency, particularly during Winter months, our advice is as follows: children under the age of 1 years should take 500-1,000 IU vitamin D3 per day (one spray each day or every other day if under 6 months). Everyone else should be supplementing at least 1,000 IU vitamin D3 per every 25kg of body weight. Adults and adolescents should certainly aim to take 3-5,000 IU per day during the Winter months. Around 2-3 months later have a 25-hydroxyvitamin D blood test (available from betteryou.uk.com)

Remember, these are conservative dosage recommendations. Most people who avoid the sun, and virtually all dark-skinned people, will have to increase their dose if they find their blood level is still low, especially in the winter. No one can get toxic on the doses recommended above and some people will need even more. With this spray, you can help make vitamin D deficiency a thing of the past.
