DTECTA Traval Support is an advanced probiotic formulation specifically developed for travellers as a simple and effective means to ensure a healthy and balanced intestinal flora to boost digestive health, comfort and immunity during travel abroad.

DTECTA Travel Support boosts digestive health and immunity by strengthening the healthy balance of friendly bacteria in the gut and supporting its protective capacity, while selectively binding to and flushing out harmful bacteria.

This formulation of three highly documented and safe probiotic strains - Saccharomyces boulardii, Lactobacillus rhamnosus Rosell-11 and Lactobacillus acidophilus Rosell-52 – has been scientifically tested and clinically proven to:

• Bind to harmful bacteria entering the system such as E. Coli and Salmonella (responsible for over 70% of Traveller’s Diarrhoea), thereby preventing their adhesion to surface cells and sweeping them out of the system with the natural flow of excreted fluids, before they have the opportunity to release their toxins.
• Help the body defend against infectious agents by activating the proliferation of immune cells in the intestinal wall and by reducing the tendency for allergic reactions.
• Stimulate the production of IgA antibodies that fight against pathogens and protect all mucosa.
• Survive in the gastro-intestinal tract resisting gastric acidity and biliary salts, proliferate abundantly in the small and large intestines, and actively adhere to intestinal epithelial cells reinforcing the "Barrier Effect".
• Produce antimicrobial substances that inhibit the growth of intestinal pathogens.

Saccharomyces boulardii was investigated in patients with diarrhoea contracted while traveling abroad, showing that this probiotic is both effective and well tolerated when used in cases of persistent diarrhoea (Kirchhelle, 1996); another double-blind study with 3000 volunteers showed that S. boulardii significantly reduced the incidence of diarrhoea in travelers (Kollaritsch, 1993).

Clinical trials have suggested the efficacy of L. acidophilus Rosell-52 combined with L.rhamnosus Rosell-11 in reducing diarrhoea of various origins.2
