I have only replaced it once. I used to be in agony from cramps which I swear tampons made worse. Some days I could not even insert one. I have told my friends who have been converted and I intend to buy one for my neice. I am 40 years old & have very heavy periods now, but after using the cup for about 6 cycles I think they are lighter. I have no idea how this could happen but I am sure it has. It's comfy, easy to use, although I was a bit nervous the first few times. I just wear a washable sanitary towel incase I get a leak, but it's been really good. Great idea. I was a little nervous about using this as I was not certain about having flexible enough muscles to hold it in place and I have heavy periods and usually change the super plus tampons every 2-3 hours. The claims are true - after 12 hours the cup was just about threequarters full and it stayed put! No leakage, no lugging around stocks of tampons spare pants and pads - BUY ONE!
